Why this website? The Story by Kevin Burns I have always believed in freedom. Freedom to do what you want and financial freedom. I have always striven for more freedom in my life and hope to help my children to achieve it too. We live in Japan, perhaps the hardest working country in the world. However there isn`t much freedom here. I try to encourage my kids to explore what they enjoy in the hopes that it could become a career one day. I told Jonah who is 14 years old, the story of a 14 year old Canadian girl who is making a few thousand dollars a month for a website she made about an island in the Carribbean. He wasintrigued, as was his brother Sennah--now 12. We talked about what we could make and we came up with the idea of a Lego site. It would be about something we loved, but ultimately it would be more than a hobby, we hoped to make money from it. How does this 14 year old girl in Canada make money? She has made a site with so much great information, and good writing that people buy things on the website. How? She makes money everytime someone clicks on a google ad and buys something, or clicks on an affilliate ad and does the same.We hope to accomplish the same thing but about something we enjoy: Lego! I hope my sons can be more independant and learn how to write through this site. English is their second language so I want them to improve their English. They and I hope to make money. But that said, we hope to makea great site about Lego, one that you will enjoy, and we can be proud of. We use a special kind of software from Canada called SBI orSite Build it. It is very easy to use, even I can use it! This site is still young, but we are hoping (one day) for the kind of success that a 14 year old girl in Canada has had with her site. Stay tuned!
